TARA is a social impact organisation that supports the economic growth of disadvantaged artisans and craftsmen of Delhi, India and its surrounding areas.
TARA are a women-led organisation, paying a living wage to all of it's employees. They have a commitment to sustainability, health and literacy. All of their products are made using recycled or upcycled materials. Fun fact is their marble wine coolers are made from marble recycled from the same mine that product the marble for the Taj Mahal.
In a country with limited access to all but the most basic healthcare, they provide health insurance to all of their workers and families.
Many of those who they employ are illiterate, so they have a comprehensive programme of free literacy classes to all of their artisans.
