So Just Shop is an accessories, homeware and gifting marketplace working directly with women-led artisans from some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. Shopping with us enables you to reach untapped artisan talents from all over the world, giving you the opportunity for exclusive products and find out the stories behind them.

We work directly with artisans on design and product development, supply chain transparency and mobile payments. ensuring all of the products are ethically, and where possible, sustainably made. Our mission is to empower women through sustainable economic development by developing design and technological solutions to overcome barriers to international trade.

Our aim is to raise 250,000 women and their families, from some of the poorest communities in the world, out of poverty and you can be part of this.

About the Founder

Jennifer Georgeson is So Just Shop’s founder and CEO. Jennifer has extensive experience in both the not-for-profit and for-profit world.

“Working for many years in international development, time and again I saw first hand that barriers to maternal and child health and education were linked to economic disempowerment. How can you take a child to the clinic for its free vaccinations if you cannot afford the bus fare? How can you send all your children to school if you only have enough money for one school uniform? It is a fact repeated the world over, economic empowerment of women has a direct effect on the education and health of the whole family — women are more likely to invest in their family and local community. Economic empowerment of women saves lives, increases education and improves social indicators of whole communities.”

Joint Chief Technical Officers

Matt Glubb and Tim Stansbie are So Just Shop's Chief Technical Officers

Matt Glubb is the Technical Director & Founder at Kite.  Matt is a technical architect and software engineer with over 20 years experience in the industry. He has consulted for a variety of digital agencies and enterprises such as Nestlé, Cantor Fitzgerald, M&S Saatchi and the BBC.  Matt is an expert on application development, cloud infrastructures, continuous deployment and devops.

Tim Stansbie is a Director and Founder at Kite.  Tim is a digital producer with over 19 years experience in web and software development. In his time in the industry, he's designed, managed and consulted on a wide variety of high-profile digital projects for clients such as the NHS, Intel, Cadbury, Royal Mail, Cartoon Network and the BBC.

Creative Director

Erica Siegel is So Just Shop's Creative Director.  

With over a decade of experience within the fashion, accessories and home products industries, Erica has worked in textile development as a Design Manager at Calvin Klein Home and as a freelance consultant/stylist working for major publications, e-commerce and television. Erica studied International Fashion Merchandising at FIT and Fashion Marketing at Polimoda Firenze as an undergrad, as well as an MA in Design Management, specialising in sustainability and consumer psychology, at the London College of Fashion. 

"Coming from a background in product development, I love So Just Shop's hands on approach to working with the women in these co-operatives. On a regular basis, I talk with the women making our products. So Just Shop makes a very collaborative effort with our sellers to help them put their best foot forward, whether it is helping with sourcing raw materials, design or production issues, I do everything in my power to ensure the success for these co-ops from a creative standpoint. So Just Shop breaks the mould of traditional "sustainable" fashion what looks like, mixing culture respectively with modern, updated tastes and elevated style."

Commercial Director

Judith Blair is So Just Shop's Commercial Director 

Judith has extensive experience in leading innovative technology start-ups, both growing incubators within major corporates such as Midland Bank (now HSBC), private commercial operations (e.g. Pipex the first commercial European ISP) and owner of a recruitment business specialising in digital media. Over her career she has also been heavily involved in mergers, acquisitions and associated funding initiatives. Since October 2013, Judith has been running her own consultancy business, working primarily with small to medium sized technology focused businesses.

"So Just Shop brings together two of my greatest passions - empowering women to succeed through their own endeavour and initiative, and harnessing technology to create opportunities which wouldn't have seemed possible before the growth and reach of the internet. Add to this the inspiring stories from the women's groups we work with, the sheer beauty and quality of the products, and So Just Shop is just a compelling proposition for me to be part of and help drive to success."

Social Media Manager

Aqsa Khan is So Just Shop's Social Media Manager.  

Aqsa has experience in PR, brand development, events and creative production. She has consulted several brands; clients including Aashni & Co, CrozNest, KTZ, Liverpool Football Club, Manish Malhotra, PPQ, ZOD Magazine and Zeynep Kartel.
