Silver jewellery is a cherished addition to any collection, but over time, it can lose its luster due to tarnishing. While traditional cleaning methods often involve harsh chemicals, there’s a simple and eco-friendly solution to bring back your jewellery's shine without compromising the planet or your health.

What You’ll Need for Eco-Friendly Silver Jewellery Cleaning:

  • A bowl
  • Aluminum foil
  • 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda
  • Boiling water
  • A soft damp cloth

Eco-Friendly Silver Jewellery Cleaning Method:

  1. Scrunch a sheet of aluminium foil into a ball and place it in the bowl.
  2. Add your silver jewellery and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda over it.
  3. Pour in boiling water until the jewellery is fully submerged. Let it sit for one hour.
  4. After one hour, remove the jewellery and gently wipe it with a damp cloth to remove any leftover residue.
  5. For stubborn tarnish, lightly rub the tarnished spots with the scrunched-up foil, then wipe again with the damp cloth.

⚠️ Caution: Avoid using this method on silver jewellery that contains gemstones, as hot water may cause damage.

This chemical-free method is a perfect way to maintain your silver jewellery while being kind to both your skin and the environment. Try it out and keep your jewellery looking sparkling and new without harmful chemicals.
