Based in Edinburgh, Bohemia work in ethical partnership with artisans based in Morocco, India and Turkey to create modern handmade accessories and homeware with an authentic soul. From colourful leather babouche slippers and on-trend baskets to block printed accessories and bohemian jewellery, everything is handcrafted in small batches using traditional artisanal techniques.
Founded in 2006 by Jenny Lockton, Bohemia is the culmination of over 20 years experience working with artists and craftspeople around the world. Bohemia was established to build relationships with artisan producers and through these collaborations help support meaningful employment and ensure the survival of awe-inspiring crafts.
Bohemia now partners with weavers of baskets and blankets, wood craftsmen and leather workers in Morocco, traditional hand block printers, jewellers and pom pom makers in India and jewellers in Turkey. Alongside the design and production of their own prints and fabrics, they also source vintage textiles from rugs to sequinned Handira blankets and incredible Berber pots and plates from the Sahara region of Morocco.
