Limited by lack of education and poverty, many of the women in this community formed a collective to make traditional hand-loomed scarves using skills passed down from mother to daughter over many generations.

This is a vital source of income for someone like Kusma. Joining the collective over 10 years ago, she receives a living wage, works in a beautiful clean factory with views of the mountains and has used the income to provide vital education, school uniform and books for her three children.
