Contemporary and natural, one off piece - round jute place mat - adds a rustic touch to your kitchen, whilst protecting table tops and surfaces from hot dishes, stains and scratches. They are handwoven by Fair Trade women's cooperative in Bangladesh from Palm leaves - a sustainable process that recycles agricultural waste to create beautiful homeware and employment opportunities for vulnerable women.
This product is ethically made by small scale artisans producers in Khulna, Bangladesh.

BaSE is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable and underprivileged women in rural areas of Bangladesh. Through 17 groups, 10,000 women across 100 local villages are employed to use their traditional crafting skills as BaSE makers specialise in jute macrame, palm leaf basketry and Nakshi embroidery.
